Cohen Stadium is primarily used for baseball and is the home field of the El Paso Diablos minor league baseball team. The stadium is also used for concerts, boxing, and soccer games. It replaced the Diablos’ former stadium, Dudley Field, in 1990, and can seat 9,725 people.
The simple form of the structure made it extremely cost-effective to build. The roof of Cohen stadium is a canopy that is 32,527 square feet of fabric membrane. Part of the fabric roof cantilevers out over the seating areas, and an additional canopy was added over third base to shield players from the sun.
