Project Gallery / Palm Springs Airport - S. Bono Terminal
As an integral part of its open-air design, Palm Springs International Airport features a series of Birdair membrane structures that cover open terraces and outdoor patios, permitting fresh air to flow freely between interior and exterior spaces while providing optimum solar shading. The airport features two prominent octagonal pavilions that shade landscaped courtyards. Most of the Birdair membrane structures are linked together, lending a unified look to the indoor/outdoor airport.
