Project Gallery / William Younger Centre / Dynamic Earth Project

The William Younger Centre is home to the Dynamic Earth Project, a permanent exhibition and education center that serves to provide a better understanding of how the earth was formed, specifically in the Edinburgh, Scotland region. Birdair's white fabric roof contrasts well with Scotland's historic sandstone making these two construction materials the perfect mix of artifice and nature (a project goal). The surface area of the fabric roof is 27,816 square feet (2.51 m2) and consists of eight masted parallel arches, all of which are incorporated with glass skylights.
