Taiyo Europe, sister company to Birdair, was contracted for the design and fabrication of the ETFE cushions, destined to bring additional light into the main lobby of Gare Montaparnasse in Paris. The 3-layer ETFE cushions have a gradient white printing, giving observers the impression of a wavy sail in the wind. Mirror-shine stainless steel side panels amplify the openness sensation of the volume underneath.
