Taiyo Europe, sister company to Birdair, was entrusted with the intricate task of designing and fabricating TensoSky® ETFE cushions, undertaking a dual role. These cushions not only needed to usher in natural sunlight into the shopping mall situated below but also serve as a protective side cladding for the upper-floor monorail tram station. The incorporation of 3-layer cushions in this architectural marvel ensures the necessary thermal insulation for the facility while effectively managing the energy dynamics within the building. This is achieved by employing a silver-printed top layer, further enhancing the functional and aesthetic aspects of the installation.
