Birdair, Inc. to Exhibit at Stadia Design & Technology Expo North America

Explore the Benefits of Tensile Architecture for Sporting Venues at Stand #3010

Published: April 12, 2010

Birdair, Inc., the leading specialty contractor of lightweight long-span roofing and tensile structures throughout the world, will exhibit at the Stadia Design & Technology Expo North America, April 26-28, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, NY.

Stadia magazine’s annual exhibition, Stadia Design & Technology Expo North America allows owners, operators, architects and industry suppliers of sports venues to explore new means of improving their own facilities and to gain advice from leading experts from South America, Asia and Europe.

Birdair representatives will be available to discuss the versatile benefits tensile architecture offers to sports stadiums and arenas. Tensile architecture provides significant stability, stunning visual appeal, natural light capability and design flexibility, among many other advantages.

Birdair is recognized worldwide for its work on well-known sporting venues, including the Cowboys Stadium (Arlington, TX, US), Red Bull Arena (Harrison, NJ, US) and Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium (also known as Kuwait Stadium, Kuwait City, Kuwait). In addition, Birdair recently completed work on the three stadiums for the 2010 Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup – Cape Town Stadium (Cape Town, South Africa), Durban Stadium (Durban, South Africa) and Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium (Port Elizabeth, South Africa).

“Tensile architecture provides unique aesthetic appeal without sacrificing daylighting, solar shading or obstructing views, making it a practical option for sporting venues,” explains Michele Roth, marketing manager for Birdair, Inc. “We look forward to educating attendees on the ways sports venues can benefit from tensile architecture.”

Birdair has completed work on more than 70 sporting venues worldwide, integrating tensile architecture into a variety of single-sport and multi-purpose stadiums and arenas. Birdair brings expert knowledge and innovative techniques to every project to meet both facility and patron needs.

Expo attendees are encouraged to visit Birdair at Stand #3010.
